Heya! I haven't blogged for more than a month now :( Sorry if I'm slack :|
I've been busy though... I am serious, I was sooo busy with work, with World Youth Day in Sydney, and busy going out with my friends who came from overseas... some of them came to Syd to attend WYD08 but some of them just came for a holiday...
Yes I need to rest as I almost got sick again... :(
Considering I've taken 4 sick leaves since the mid Feb this year, I don't think I should or can take another sick leave for the time being... so yeah TAKE A REST DEB! -__-
Back to what I was gonna say in this post... I was going to talk about my experience in WYD08 but am still waiting for the pictures that my friends took during the week hehehe... I brought my camera along actually but I think it's a bit broken... like the quality wasn't that good anymore... hmmm I've got it since late 2004, it has done its job nicely hehe... so yeah will wait until I get all the pics and will post some of them as well here :)
ANYWAY... while I'm blogging this right now, one of my colleague just approached me and told me about some random videos that show mobile popcorn... it shows you that popcorns can be made using 4 mobiles...
You just need to place the corn in the middle of 4 mobile phones and ring all 4 of them... when all of them ring, the corns will start popping and you can start eating them hehe...
I watched those videos and didn't realise that my manager was right behind me :( he asked me what I am watching and he didn't seem happy :( My team leader then told everyone that we should know when my manager is around, we should be more careful of what we're doing 0_0 coz he has concerns over internet security etc... :( i feel really bad now :((((
Oh well, I can't do anything for now but I should be more careful next time :) cheer up deb!!!
I'm gonna go now and have a nice dinner with my friend from Indo... will share my experience in WYD08 soon!!! See you!

Brisbane Trip
I went to Brisbane for a day yesterday...
It was a tiring day despite the fact that it was quite fun too!
I woke up at 6.25 am sharp yesterday coz I need to leave home at 7. My taxi came and the driver almost left me as he couldnt park his car in front of my building (I forgot it's clearway time!) but luckily I was only 3 mins late so I still could catch him back :P
I checked my bag again while I was in the taxi and suddenly I realised that I forgot my damn ticket! Man... the taxi needed to go back again :-(
It's good that my building is probably only 15 mins away from the airport so I could still make it and in fact, I've got there so early :-) no baggage... so it's very fast to check in.
There is another girl from other division who went to Brisbane with me. She's nice... and it is good to have someone go there with you, so if you get lost, you do it together... :)
The session was alright, better than I expected...
They had this door prize idea where people were encouraged to ask many questions so he/she could get more chances to win...
I asked quite many questions and I got like 5-6 chances to win compared to 2-3 who didn't ask many. But I still didn't win it -____-
But everyone went home with no empty-handed. We've got Suncorp umbrella. Does this sound pathetic? Hahaha... yeah Sydney's always raining recently and we've got a big umbrella which can protect us from rain and strong wind...
I heard only employees who have been in Suncorp for 10 years would get it. Hehe I guess I speed-up my employment to 3 weeks to get that! Nice... :-)
On the way back to Sydney, we had another guy joined us coz we caught the same plane and all of us held an umbrella each.
Being proud to get the umbrella before we reach 10 years of employment, we really wanted to bring them to Sydney and prolly show it off to other mates haha :P
But the umbrella has a sharp tip and it's a NONO to be placed in the cabin.
UMBRELLA NEEDS TO BE CHECKED IN. Sound ridiculous to do that? NO! We love our umbrellas... One of the officer from Qantas said "Just throw it away! They're just give aways..."
We said "No, we came all the way to Brisbane just for these umbrellas!" hahaha... that's true though :0 I like it :P hahaha (Man, I sound so cheap >.< )
Then we checked them in and guess what? They're OVERSIZE BAGGAGE hahahaha
Well oh well, in the end if you like it, then you gotta go for it! Don't listen to what people said :P
I'm so tireddddd.... Looking forward to meet other guys and girls in the choir team coz I didn't go there last night becoz of this trip. :-)
Have a great weekend guys!

Second Exam
Yes, I had my second exam this morning. I feel like im getting old now... maybe coz I'll turn 25 next year so I've started to have this back problem LOL :P
The exam was crazily tiring haha, I needed to write 9 pages of answers for 2 questions and on page 6 onwards, my hand writting was like a real mess, my hand muscles couldn't support the pen anymore yet the clock kept ticking so yeah I need to ganbatehh there hehe lucky I haven't broken my wrist hahaha *exaggerrating* But I think I did alright overall...
Went straight home to enjoy the comfort of some old invention called bed, pillow, and of course my guling :P and even though I had a weird dream I couldn't manage to wake up that soon hehe maybe coz it wasn't a nightmare o___O
Ah yeah, also got an email from my future employer about a networking event that will be held in Brisbane. I thought since it is in Brisbane then I can't go. It will be held in the 28th btw. Then I emailed the HR and confirmed if it's in Brisbane coz obviously I won't be able to attend if it is. Then she replied that she could manage a flight for me :D I thought wow that'd be good!!!
I feel so happy coz I will start working in Feb but have been treated as if I've joined them some times ago :) nice...
The only problem is that it will be held on the 28th yet on the 29th evening I will fly back to Indonesia. I wonder if they would still fly me back on the 29th morning knowing this :( Well, can't do much about it since I gotta pay $150 just to change my ticket departure, let's just hope for the best :D
I also got this email from 1 institution offering some sort of program for students who are interested in getting a job in Sydney, particularly in the IT industry. They would charge AUD$3000 for those students but they would also guarantee that they'll get a job (eventually). But no guarantee that they'll get a job within certain period tho.
Not sure if it's getting popular to have institutions like that, but I know Monash University in Melbourne also has such program that asks students for about $1500ish so that they'll find them a job :|
I personally don't think it's worth the money, especially there are so many agents (job agencies) that will take care of you (potential employee) and it's free of charge. But of coz there's no obligation for them to find you a job. But for those unemployed students that can't find a job easily, isn't that amount of money significant?
Anyway, if you are interested you can contact me hahaa coz in the email they say they'll give me $200 if I recommend 1 student to join their program :P hahaha

Working in Jakarta...
I'm thinking of working in Jakarta...
Anyone knows how it looks like working there? Or does anyone know who I can contact regarding any possible vacancy there? e.g. job agent/job hunter?
Just IM me if you know ;-)
Thanks!
