焼きたて!! ジャぱん
I created this blog to follow up my friend's celebration in getting accepted to the Culinary Institute of America :D
A friend of mine mentioned some jdoramas (japanese dramas) about cooking and baking and so I think I will tell this friend (DJ) about this funny and good anime that may entertain and teach you a little lessons about baking & pastry...
It's Yakitate Ja-pan!!! You know Japanese people don't normally eat bread coz their main food is rice so in this anime, there's this guy (main character) called Azuma Kazuma (yes it's like Yamato Yama/Nobita Nobi -> funny repetitive names :P), who possesses "Solar Hand", which apparently important when you're making a dough (so I assume your bread would taste better then you got fever hahaha :P jk), tries to promote bread in Japan and also to create a national bread for Japan. It also coincides that "pan" means bread in japanese, so Ja-pan might be interpreted as "Japanese Bread" :P
When I watched this anime, I craved bread which I don't normally crave :P.
My bro and other friends also did the same hahaha so u may need to expect that you may gain weight a little when u watch this.
At the end of the anime, they sometimes give a little tips about baking bread etc. Check it out yourself!!! It's worth watching :D

A Millionaire's First Love
Just watched this drama today...
It was quite typical tearjerker Korean Drama, like the girl got sick and the guy can give up everything for this girl... There was also an orphanage in this movie too...
I know they're all predictable movies but I don't know why I love Korean dramas very much still :) like I always cry when I watch them... hmmm and I know I shouldnt've coz I knew it would be sad when I started to watch it... hahaha what an idiot hey :P
No no it's not called an idiot, it's called a sensitive girl :P
To see the complete synopsis
I love the song played in the movie, sung by Jaejoong (member of DBSK)

Ooh Yeah!
Finally, the day I dreamt about recently... :P
No more exam babeehhh :P woooohoooooo!!!!
I also have known 2 of my final marks coz the lecturer kindly posted the final exam's results so we could work it out :D
Other than that, been looking fwd to my trip back to Indonesia this Thursday the 29th :D
Will stop by in Jakarta for 3 days then going straight to my hometown, Semarang, Central Java.
Hmmm have a lot of things to do in Indo...work work work!
Will also need to catch up with a lot of friends, relatives, and new friends :D
Maybe I need to long-list them. Otherwise might forget some of them...
Me also want to learn piano :D Will also go to Bali and maybe other cities in Java :) Woohoo will do a lot of stuff on my holiday :D:D
Sigh, I'm happy that I finished my uni but I am also sad since that means no more fun with uni friends :( hehe last nite I went to have coffee with some uni friends before I leave to Indo. Will post some pics if my friend has sent me the pics :P
Now another milestone has been passed. Next, I need to setup another short term goal to achieve next year.
Thinking about my job next year, I don't think it will be easy...but easy job is not challenging eh? :P haha whether it's easy or not, we just gotta do it and set our mind to tackle all problems 1 by 1
Aja Aja Fighting!!! :P
To make it more sentimental, here is a song for our graduation guys (eventho the final results haven't been released LOL) :P

Because It's You - KangTa
How can a guy be this perfect?
Kang Ta is a well-rounded artist. He really loves music, he has the talent, a brilliant composer, he has the look, and he can act too :)
Check this out. He composed this song just for this one episode game show (xman 59).
Only for this game show episode!!! The song was really well composed too...
Man, I'll definitely marry him if he proposes me :P hahaha..

Lee Soo Young!
Third exam was today... The level of difficulty was expected but I've realised that I've made some mistakes :( arghhhh...I feel so tired and bored of study -_____-"
My last one will be next week though... still... I havent started reviewing/studying at all! -.- Let me forget about my exam for a while :P
Recently, I've been listening to Lee Soo Young's songs... She's a great Korean singer... her voice and songs just fit my taste :)
She's won some awards in Korea and everytime she won them, she cried out loud on the stage :'( so touched when she did...
Well she's won quite many (I suppose) of them, so she should expect to win next time haha... no need to cry again then :|
I started to search for her songs after I watched her participating in a Korean game show called xman... she was sooo funny when she participated in the segment "Dayunhaji" (meaning "Of course") :)
I didn't know that the girl in that show was actually Lee Soo Young, the singer of "I believe" that was debuted in 1999. I actually had listened to some of her songs before but since I didn't know the singer (err I think because I can't recognise the singer's face from their voices) so I didn't know that she sang one of my fave songs haha
Then after I found her accidentally from some random K-MVs, I started to search for more of her songs...
To share a bit.. this one is a nice one (at least for me ^.^v)...
I can't wait to get her whole album tonight :D

Second Exam
Yes, I had my second exam this morning. I feel like im getting old now... maybe coz I'll turn 25 next year so I've started to have this back problem LOL :P
The exam was crazily tiring haha, I needed to write 9 pages of answers for 2 questions and on page 6 onwards, my hand writting was like a real mess, my hand muscles couldn't support the pen anymore yet the clock kept ticking so yeah I need to ganbatehh there hehe lucky I haven't broken my wrist hahaha *exaggerrating* But I think I did alright overall...
Went straight home to enjoy the comfort of some old invention called bed, pillow, and of course my guling :P and even though I had a weird dream I couldn't manage to wake up that soon hehe maybe coz it wasn't a nightmare o___O
Ah yeah, also got an email from my future employer about a networking event that will be held in Brisbane. I thought since it is in Brisbane then I can't go. It will be held in the 28th btw. Then I emailed the HR and confirmed if it's in Brisbane coz obviously I won't be able to attend if it is. Then she replied that she could manage a flight for me :D I thought wow that'd be good!!!
I feel so happy coz I will start working in Feb but have been treated as if I've joined them some times ago :) nice...
The only problem is that it will be held on the 28th yet on the 29th evening I will fly back to Indonesia. I wonder if they would still fly me back on the 29th morning knowing this :( Well, can't do much about it since I gotta pay $150 just to change my ticket departure, let's just hope for the best :D
I also got this email from 1 institution offering some sort of program for students who are interested in getting a job in Sydney, particularly in the IT industry. They would charge AUD$3000 for those students but they would also guarantee that they'll get a job (eventually). But no guarantee that they'll get a job within certain period tho.
Not sure if it's getting popular to have institutions like that, but I know Monash University in Melbourne also has such program that asks students for about $1500ish so that they'll find them a job :|
I personally don't think it's worth the money, especially there are so many agents (job agencies) that will take care of you (potential employee) and it's free of charge. But of coz there's no obligation for them to find you a job. But for those unemployed students that can't find a job easily, isn't that amount of money significant?
Anyway, if you are interested you can contact me hahaa coz in the email they say they'll give me $200 if I recommend 1 student to join their program :P hahaha

First exam... Down!
Just did my first exam... ehmm how was it? It was quite difficult. Even though the question itself is relatively OK but what made it difficult was the length of the question... Man, we were required to derive a function in 1 full page just for 4 marks out of 60 -___-"
Anyway, time to move onto the next one...
I just read a joke today, not sure if it was that funny but I laughed when I read it...
Child: "Mom, can I ask for few bucks coz I want to give it to the old lady that I just passed"
Mother: (thinking that she has a good child who thinks about the poor and the elders) "OK, here is 10 bucks for you. How old is she? Can't she still do a proper job?"
Child: "Sure, she's selling candies"
Mother: "errr -____-!!"
Is it funny? It's quite funny rite :P

Enthusiasm
Recently I've lost my enthusiasm...
I didn't really study coz I simply didn't really feel like it... there are just too many things that can make me lose my enthusiasm in my life these days... no need to mention what they are but one thing that I realise, I don't know what I really want to do in life.
I've made so many tough decisions this year coz I thought I sort of had a glimpse of my future. About where I wanna be, what I wanna do, etc. But there are just too many uncertainties in this life that can't guarantee for our happiness hey?
I've read a blog of one of the priests that I know and he talked about enthusiasm that is one of the forms of love. Hmm.. strange... :|
He wrote, “When we love and believe in something from the bottom of our soul, we feel stronger than the world and we are imbued with a serenity that comes from the certainty that nothing can conquer our faith. This strange force makes us always make the right decisions at the right time, and we are surprised at our own capacity when we fulfill our objective.”
I don't want to emphasise what the relationship between love and enthusiasm is in this one coz I'm not too sure myself. But what stroke me was that simply I just realised that my faith isn't strong at all. I've made the decisions and always tend to go back to assess it. I don't think this is right. This way I will always fall in possible regret and won't be able to move on...
I think keeping enthusiasm alive in our heart is very important :)
Be sure that what you've done was really your decision and nothing is to regret really coz you'll get a better future when u've made up your mind that u will have it! :)
We just need to build up our faith that we will reach our goals in life and when we do this, the strange force will assure us to always make the right decisions at the right time.
"Enthusiasm is your greatest strength, intent on the final victory. You cannot let it slip through your fingers just because as time passes we have to face some small and necessary defeats."

WYDSYD2008
Yep! It's World Youth Day 2008
I just came back from church and just wanna share this with you...
I am not an active member of the church community to begin with so I don't really understand very detail about this event. You can check http://www.wyd2008.org for more information.
I'm thinking of joining the pilgrims for next year and perhaps if some of you are also interested but don't know how to register. Here are some of the steps you need to follow:
1. Log onto www.wyd2008.org
2. Click on the red box "REGISTER NOW"
3. Select "Pilgrim" and click on register now
4. Create a user name and password.
Fill out your details and follow the prompts
5. Select a GROUP that you want to join either on "GROUP SEARCH" or go to www.cyshouse.org.au for a list of all groups registered in the Archdiocese of Sydney.
For the group details, I was given these two codes:
If you are interested in joining the whole week - enter 2304.
If you are interested in joining only for the weekend - enter 3031. (I think this is only for Randwick community)
Hope this'd help! see you around then! :)

Stuvac
Beginning of the exam period... gotta study all night long...
Just read and did past paper for my statistics subject... I think I underestimated this subject too..
I feel lost when I read the very brief notes called lecture notes ^^ hehe...
Well what can i do? read the textbook! -___-
Yesterday I also attended the supplementary lectures that my fav lecturer held in the stuvac week :S
He, as usual, explained very complicated material in an even more complicated way... we're totally lost >.< I could see the students went out the lect hall one by one hahahaha...
The most interesting part was that he asked us, "so what have you learnt so far from this subject?" and we're like thinking "we've learnt how to forgive, how to be patient, and how to pick a subject next time" LOL...
Normally the online evaluation for all subjects are still open during this time but my friend said this one is already closed... maybe it has reached the maximum number of feedbacks can be made :P
I was so tempted to ask him "Has the online evaluation survey for this subject been opened?" hahaha but I felt bad for him haha Yes I'm still a good student :D
OK, back to study...

DETERMINE YOUR IQ
Just got this IQ test from a friend... why dont u try it too??
Think hard...dun give up... :P
Check the answer in the comment...
Think hard...dun give up... :P
Imagine you are in Hwange. You have been tied hanging on a tree with
a rope anchored on the ground, a candle is slowly burning the rope,
and the lion is waiting for you to drop and be his lunch.
Your survival hinges on the rope staying intact, there is no one
around to help you. The only possible way is to somehow convince the
lion to BLOW the candle out. How do you do that?
Check the answer in the comment...

Bavarian Bier Cafe...
Just had dinner there to celebrate my friend's bday...
Had Linguine with King Prawn, tomato sauce, and parmesan and Mango bier.. (can't remember the exact name of the beer)... It was alright, but I like the lychee flavor more :)
The ambience was alright but somehow I like Belgium Beer Cafe better tho... this is my personal opinion tho....I would rate this place 6/10 considering the food, the drinks, and the ambience...
Well I was the one who suggested this place to the bday girl hehe coz I thought I would like to try this place since we always had dinner in the same place all the time, so why dont we try somewhere new :-)
It's a pity not many people could make it... There were like around 14 ppl but separated into 2 tables, so we couldnt really talk that much :(
I went to check out some sunnies too today so that I can claim it to my private health insurance... otherwise, it'd be a waste of premium :P
I also checked out some notebooks today... I like the HP Pavilion dv2500, the 14.1" one... the shape is nice, compact, and not that expensive....ummm or should I get macbook instead? It's AUD$100 more expensive but the processor is a bit more powerful...it's unix based and that means I should be able to run php better than in windows...
Sigh I couldn't check the vaio yet coz Myer city doesn't have sony... they only got toshiba, asus, mac, and hp...maybe i need to go tomorrow again.... -_____-

Last lecture
Today is officially my last lecture day... even tho I will have another supplementary class next Monday coz the lecturer couldn't finish the last lecture...
I feel time really flies... I think this will be my last lecture in my whole life (unless I take another course... ummm which is a bit unlikely at this point). Having said that, I think i'd miss my school days though :( but I would never miss the exams period for sure hehe..
Took few pictures after the lecture with some friends who were taking the same class.. Would like to ask the lecturer to take pic with us but he was busy answering students' questions hehe... It was a bit dark as well so we couldn't get nice shots :( well some of them blamed me coz I didn't tell them if I'd bring a camera.. otherwise, they'd get ready for that -___- my gosh... I didn't even get ready myself :P It supposed to be CANDID my friends :P
I look really fat here eh :P well what can I do? :-( I was born with wide shoulders. It is an advantage for me tho coz I would be able to carry heavier bag longer than my friends with narrow shoulders wakaka LOL... :P
Well, will need to get more nice shots during the day... hehe maybe next week when we study together for the exams :P
Let's get more pics on Monday after the class -> don't blame me for not telling u, u should know now :P
