[Music] Another creative song from Indonesia
Keroncong is one of Indonesian traditional music... It has its own unique type of rhythm...
Young Indo people like to think this kind of music is only for elders and it's not popular anymore... Like what you've probably guessed... rap, pop, rnb are more popular for kids these days... So in this video, Bondan Prakoso, who used to sing in his young age, tried to make a come back and collaborate rap and keroncong into this unique song...
This song is called "Kroncong Protol", which means incomplete keroncong :-) Enjoy!

The New Champion
What about this... he's also the youngest winner who won grand slam in Aussie?? Sounds cooler???
Eventho I was hoping Tsonga, the underdog, to win, I admit Djokovic was a great player tho... he was very determined... a great sportsman... BANZAI!!!
Tsonga won the first set and played really well... Maybe he was a little nervous but I could see Djokovic also did the same... Maybe it was their first final in Aussie :-|
Woah... the game made me want to practise my skill...I went with my usual friends to practise (regardless of what the dentist told me) but then I regret it now...it hurts when I run/jump :-(
Sydney friends... let's play tennis more often when I get back there!!! :-D

FEDERER should've done it BETTERER
Novak Djokovic | 7 | 6 | 7 |
Roger Federer | 5 | 3 | 6 |
This is my opinion only tho coz I saw Roger did soo many mistakes himself... We can only rely on his service I guess hehe...
But eventho Roger played well, Novak is certainly someone who isn't easy to beat tho :)
I actually really wanna see the match between Tsonga and Federer in final :-| My hope was turned down :-(
Well I guess this time the youngsters need to compete for the 1st place...
Tsonga [38][FRA] vs Djokovic [3][SER]
Who do you think will win???
Tsong played really well against Nadal and will he be able to do it again on final???
I think I'll support Tsonga this time considering him on the 38th place and if he can do it, that'd be a GREAT NEWS! hohohoho....
Hehe can't wait to see the match on Sunday :-)

[Lyric] Sebelum Cahaya
Sebelum Cahaya
by Letto
ku teringat hati
yang bertabur mimpi
kemana kau pergi cinta
perjalanan sunyi
engkau tempuh sendiri
kuatkanlah hati cinta
ingatkan engkau kepada
embun pagi bersahaja
yang menemanimu sebelum cahaya
ingatkan engkau kepada
angin yang berhembus mesra
yang kan membelaimu cinta
kekuatan hati yang berpegang janji
genggamlah tanganku cinta
ku tak akan pergi meninggalkanmu sendiri
temani hatimu cinta
ingatkan engkau kepada
embun pagi bersahaja
yang menemanimu sebelum cahaya
ingatkan engkau kepada
angin yang berhembus mesra
yang kan membelaimu cinta
ku teringat hati
yang bertabur mimpi
kemana kau pergi cinta
perjalanan sunyi
engkau tempuh sendiri
kuatkanlah hati cinta
ingatkan engkau kepada
embun pagi bersahaja
yang menemanimu sebelum cahaya
ingatkan engkau kepada
angin yang berhembus mesra
yang kan membelaimu cinta

I miss my face
My face is still swollen now... thanks to the surgery :-S
Yesterday I checked up again to my dentist...he said "it's good it's good!" -> where the hell is good??? :-S It's not good actually coz with this swollen face, that means No Food. No Sports. No Laughs. No Hangout. No Life basically...
So...I decided to borrow Korean drama series yesterday (hmmm...doesn't it sound like part of my life???) hehe... My Girl with 16 episodes in total... Ive watched 8 episodes in a row yesterday...
The drama was actually good, funny, different story, but what made me hate it is the funny part of it... remember that I can't laugh???
Sigh what made me hate it even more was when my mom laughed so loud and that would make me laugh with her...
I couldn't hold it once and I think I did laugh a little (damn...I forgot to see myself laughing in the mirror... when else I got the chance to see a monster laughing??) hahaha I think I should stop insulting myself for my own sake :P
Ah yeah when I tried to laugh, I could feel my stitched gum stretched a little...man it hurts :-(
So I tried to hold it so hard... :-S
So you people, when you got the chance to have fun and laugh, do it fully :-P Laugh a lot while you can, coz when you can't laugh...that'd be sadddd :-(
Hmmm I remember the real story about a kid who can't laugh... I think it was a muscle problem or something like that...
I just can't imagine it...maybe she can laugh but it just wasn't expressed in her face :-S
Well hope there will be a cure to such disease coz no laugh means no life for me :)

Swollen Face
My face is swollen now coz my gum was cut and I didn't know what happened after that :-|
I guess I was too afraid to see the process hehe... All I saw was the equipments with some blood on them :-S eeewwww...
I did receive anaesthesia around the front teeth but I could still feel the pain... I couldn't imagine how painful it would be without the anaesthesia :-S
I cannot talk now... I barely can move my upper lip hahaha you will laugh seeing my face now... even my brother cannot hold his laughter everytime he sees me...
Deb cannot talk for around 3 days? Yes that kills me slowly hehe... I guess that's why I blog instead hahaha :-P
You know? after all these pains, I don't even know why I need the surgery :-S I was too panic just thinking of the surgery and forgot to ask the details WHY I need it :-S Stooopidd mee...
Well the thing that I understand is that I did bump my front teeth with something hard about 10 years ago (possibly my friend's forehead or the floor) so that this accident killed my front teeth' roots...
As far as I know, this will make my front teeth' colour to get darker and darker as I age...and coz these are my front teeth, it would not be good for my appearance... that's all I know...
I guess I would continue eating porridge for 3 days since I cannot chew anything now :-(
What a weekend :-S !!!
A little message from me... If you want to look pretty, you have to suffer a little sometimes :-)
Bad Teeth...
He found 1 cavity in my tooth and guess what??? He suddenly took picture of my front teeth, and when he saw the result, he was surprised? "Huh???" , he said.
I didn't feel good about it so I quickly looked at the picture and... UNSURPRISINGLY I just saw my teeth hahaha :P Nothing really in it, the thing that was outstanding is there was a darker circle in one of the root. He asked me who dealt with ur teeth there? I said "It's always you!"
Apparently he said my infection that was treated a year ago hasn't got well... He said "You NEED a LITTLE SURGERY"... and my reaction was "SIGH...!!!" (a big one)
I don't like going to dentist... I guess who would love it??? Unless the dentist is a hot young guy and you only go there just to see him :-)
Today I will go for that surgery... The dentist has given me some antibiotics beforehand and I need to take them before my surgery... I don't feel good now...
I feel reluctant going there just by imagining how long I would have to open my mouth, take those painful treatment... why oh why :-(
I suppose I can't go anywhere this weekend... oh dear...

Daughters-in-law (며느리 전성시대)
Or can be read: The Golden Era of Daughters in Law.
Funny, refreshing drama to watch.
Main Cast:
- Kim Ji-Hoon (김지훈) as Lee Boksu (이복수)
- Lee Soo-Kyung (이수경) as Cho Mijin (조미진)
- Lee Pil-Mo (이필모) as Cho Inwoo (조인우)
- Suh Young-Hee (서영희) as Lee Boknam (이복남)
Lee Boksu is Lee Boknam's older brother
Cho Inwoo is Cho Mijin's older brother
Lee Boksu married Cho Mijin -> Here Cho Inwoo is Lee Boksu's older brother-in-law
Then Cho Inwoo married Lee Boknam -> So now Lee Boksu is also Cho Inwoo's older brother-in-law (???)
Hahaha I like this drama. Funny I can say...
I just watched this drama for a while in KBSWorld but sadly they only play this drama 2 days a week (Sat and Sun).
In this drama, there are 2 main family scenes: the Lee Soogil and Lee Myunghee Families.
Lee Soogil is Boksu and Boknam's father. He has a sister which is Lee Myunghee.
In Lee Soogil's family scene, everything looks complicated but funny to see... On the other hand, Lee Myunghee is a very cold-hearted mother-in-law who is acting like a real bitch. She's very mean to her daughter-in-laws and very selfish. In the series, Lee Myunghee married to a rich family and that's why it made her feel like she owns the world hehehe...
Watch it and you'll like it :)
More info about the casts can be found here

[Lyric] Selamanya Cinta
Sung by Yana Yulio first and then resung recently by D Cinnamons
Di kala hati resah
Seribu ragu datang … memaksaku
Rindu semakin meyerang
Kalau lah aku dapat membaca pikiranmu
Dengan sayap pengharapanku ingin terbang jauh
Biar awan pun gelisah,
Daun daun jatuh berguguran
Namun cintamu kasih terbit laksana bintang
Yang bersinar cerah menerangi jiwaku
Andaikan ku dapat mengungkapkan perasaanku
Hingga membuat kau percaya
Akan ku berikan seutuhnya rasa cintaku
Selamanya selamanya
Biar awan pun gelisah
Daun daun jatuh berguguran
Namun cintamu kasih terbit laksana bintang
Tuhan jalinkanlah cinta bersama, selamanya.
Andaikan ku dapat mengungkapkan perasaanku
Hingga membuat kau percaya
Akan ku berikan seutuhnya rasa cintaku
Selamanya … selamanya … selamanya … selamanya
Babi Guling Bu Oka
To be honest, for me I love food in Java better than in Bali...maybe it's becoz I'm not used to Balinese style in term of taste...
I had this meal when I was in Ubud... the famous area in Bali for its arts and crafts...
My friend recommended this place since it was aired in the Discovery channel...
I dun think it's very unique... This maybe becoz I was born in Indo and I've had pork so many times hahaha
But of course if you normally just eat the pork meat with nothing else, you might want to try this.
It has some nice sauce and some unique vegetables that I've never had before..dun ask me the name of the vegie hehe... coz I'm not the expert in terms of vegetables
I suggest you to eat it with the green chili to make it taste nicer...but be careful! it's quite hot!
The Fact: I'm UNEMPLOYED now!!!
My Internet connection here in Indonesia isn't that good eventho I've used the broadband so I blog mainly offline and upload them when I'm online...
Today I started to think again if I waste part of my life here now, doing nothing...
I promised myself to continue thinking seriously of what I really wanna do in the future, about business opportunities here in Indonesia, about how I can improve my dad's business etc...
But it seems all those promises meant nothing...I didn't do much...what I did was spending my dad's money and had a lot of fun...
Hehe it's not that I hate doing that but I also have some conscience that I have to watch my spending and think about more useful things that I should do during my holiday...
My shares aren't doing well, I have credit card bills to pay, I have rent fees and Internet that I need to manage there while I have no income whatsoever...
When I think over what other ppl said to me when I told them I would like to continue doing my master degree, I somehow agree a little bit with them... Of course I didnt regret what I've done so far tho coz I think I've learnt something new and that would benefit me in the future...
But what I agree with them was that I missed my experience that I could get if I didnt take my master degree in the first place...
Like now, I've been unemployed for almost 1 year...(I know at least I've been doing my study during this time so I can't say Ive wasted my 1 year fully hehe)
Did I do something good or something useless?
My bro said working in Indo would be different from working in Aussie. The people are different. The culture is different. The salary is indeed DIFFERENT. The environment would be a lot different. But should I get experience in Aussie despite the fact that I have to go back to Indo for good later on?
My tutor once said Indonesian students thinking of getting work experience in Aussie before going back to Indonesia is just an excuse of feeling reluctant to go back to Indo...
Well I still think it's a valid excuse. Moreover, I think having experience of difficulties in other country will mean a lot when we start working in Indo for real. It will develop our communication skills as well I believe...
PLUS we should learn how people from a more advanced country work so that we can start developing our own nation. Isn't that right?
Hehe I'm thinking too much hey? I know I can't turn back time to 1 year ago...I just need to think forward and there's nothing to regret :-)

[Lyric] Butterfly
Here is the lyric (by Melly Goeslaw and Andhika Pratama)...
Ketika waktu mendatangkan cinta
Aku putuskan memilih dirimu
Setitik rasa itu menetes
Dan semakin parah
Bisa ku rasa getar jantungmu
Mencintaiku apa lagi aku
Jadikanlah diriku
Pilihan terakhir hatimu
Chores:
Butterfly terbanglah tinggi
Setinggi anganku untuk meraihmu
Memeluk batinmu yang sempat kacau
Karna merindu
Butterfly fly away so high
As high as hopes I pray
To come and reach for you
Rescuing your soul
that previous messed up touching me and you
Jalan ini jauh
Namun kita tempuh
Bagai bumi ini
Hanya milik berdua
Biar ku berlebihan
Mendekatimu
Namun ku tunggu
Back to chores.
Enjoy!

KEKL01 Reunion
KEKL stands for Keluarga Eks Kolese Loyola... Yes it's my high school alumni...
We just had a reunion last December 2007 here in Semarang...to be more exact, we held it in my friend's restaurant called Gama :-)
We actually anticipated it to have around 50 people since a lot of our friends work in other cities or even countries... but there was 80 of us... THIRTY PEOPLE MORE than what we expected hehe... we, the organiser, were really satisfied with the outcome...
I was in charge of planning the event, e.g. introduction, sharing time, games, etc.. It wasn't only me who did all that...of coz I I had 4 other friends who organised all these...
The result was OK... it wass sooo difficult to get their attention... I could understand but indeed everyone talked to the people next to them and even I screamed using a microphone already, they wouldn't listen to me :-S...
But then thanks to my other funny friend called Lucy, she was soo smart making jokes out of me :- and THAT could get their attention eventho that means I got humiliated just to get my friends' attention... hahaha I don't care tho as long as they would listen to what I said and everything would go as we planned...
OK now let's talk about games..
I planned to have 2 games actually but time only allowed us to do the first one...
The first game was a game of 10 people in a team. The members need to line up and face the same direction. The person who stands in the last row will be given a question (i.e. 1-2 words) then he/she needs to use body language to explain the person in front of him/her about what the question was. This person will then need to do the same thing to the person standing in front of him. This procedure will go on until the last person in the team. The last person then needs to guess what the word was.
This game was not that easy hehe... ONLY 1 team out of 6 who could figure out the right answer.
We actually had 5 game at first but then everyone wanted us (the organisers) to play as well. They made the question for us hehe... it was a silly and difficult question given to us, I personally don't think other team could guess it right as well hahaha :P
Well though it was difficult, it was fun coz everyone moved in their own style and it wasnt easy to guess from it hehehe
Here are the pics during the game...
At the end of the reunion, we sang our school anthem and then followed by pictureee time hehehe...
Look at this picture, only these people could fit in the pic, some other friends didn't join us as they prefer to drink instead hahaha...
Ah yeah, we also asked everyone to give an update to us where they live, where they work, what's their current phone number, etc.
For those of you who read this post and couldn't go to the reunion, you can send me email or join KEKL01 mailinglist, we'll update the database for u :-)

Happy New Year!!!
Sorry for the late greeting :P but I was so busy having fun with some old friends so I haven't touched my computerfor so long :PWhat did you guys do on NYE? I tried to organise a little party for me and friends... well it was quite rushing coz I didn't really have the chance to contact all my friends :S but we managed to gather around 25 ppl in my friend's restaurant...
Althought it wasn't as many as our reunion, I think it was still fun...My friend hired a singer and the players and we could sing in a stage (basically like a karaoke but we just read the lyrics on a piece of paper instead of using a screen hehe...We sang many songs... but I think the singer also wanted to sing coz everytime we wanted to sing, he always kinda ignored us :P
Here are some pics again taken on the party!
- boys action

And during the count down moment...
Bali Trip 2007
- 23 Dec 07
I arrived at Bali on the 23rd... That day's weather was pretty good...well not to mention the long shower coz it wouldnt be that bad if we just had shower and not stormy day...The 23rd was OK but we had to wait a very long time just to check in...sigh a bit disappointing from a five-star hotel like Grand Hyatt :-(We just got free welcome drinks because of that... and it didnt taste that nice :-(
Grand Hyatt... a very nice hotel... but it was a bit too big... hehe... We stayed in Grand Hyatt for 3 nights and moved to novotel for another 3 nights...I prefer hyatt than novotel tho... the service in novotel wasn't that nice... hmmm maybe coz it's a serviced apartment so we cant expect the service like in a normal hotel...The breakfast was better in hyatt too... :-S of course the rate is higher in hyatt than novotel tho... but it wasnt a big difference so I vote for hyatt hehe yay!!
- 24 Dec 07
OK.. moving to the next day, we went for water rafting, 7 of us (3 girls and 4 guys)... what a pity not all of us could go, it was raining very hard too... but it was really fun still :-)Water rafting in Ayung river... it was about 10 km rowing... coz we were 7 people, so the team was divided into 2, a group of 3 plus an instructor and a group of 4 plus an instructor :)Unsuprisingly, I was with a team of 4 incl. the instructor... and unsurprisingly i won the race hahaha :P
- 25 Dec 07
Xmas day... it was raining very hard...We were gonna play in the sea but coz the rain was quite hard, we cancelled the plan and went to Ubud instead, looking at some paintings...It was quite hard to find some good and cheap paintings there... the cheap ones were the reproduced ones :-(Well we also didn't know much about the painting so it was quite hard to know the one with good value on it :-S
it's christmas day!!! so we still managed to go to the church in the evening ;-)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
- 26 Dec 07
It was a rainy day...We went to the sea still for playing some water sports... we played "Flying Fish"... a kind of kite made of rubber which is pulled by a boat...Depending of the wind direction, we can fly :-) Nice... hehehelucky there was no thunder at all :-)
We also planned to dive...but coz the rain got harder then we were not brave enuf to do it :P so we went home and went to ubud again coz my friend wanted to buy some paintings...
- 27 Dec 07
It's time to go to the main event...well it's kinda our main purpose going to Bali...to attend my friend's wedding :-)SURPRISINGLY, those rainy days meant nothing for the couple... that day was a complete success... the outdoor parties went successfully with no problem at all...
Here are some pics again :-)
- 28 Dec 07
OK, this is it! Our last day in Bali coz we're going home on the next day :-S
LUCKILYYY we could go out under sunny sky... man... we miss it soo much :) So we rushed going out to Kuta Beach to play with the wave.. yes the best wave shouldbe in Kuta when you talk about BALI :-) well im not the expert but that's what people say and I believe it since the beaches in Nusa Dua don't have big waves like in Kuta but of course if you want to learn how to surf, learning in a calmer part of the sea is better coz u can learn how to stand in the long board... (yes we use longboard, not the surf board straight away). Long board is of coz longer than the surf board but that's what a beginner needs... heheI could see my bro's adrenalin boosted so fast when he saw SEA, BRIGHT SKY, and BIG WAVES :-D so many people tried to sell a service to teach you how to surf...The guys quickly took off their clothes and JUMPED while screaming "FINALLYY!!!" hahaha...I and some other girl friends went for a quick shopping time before we wet ourselves with the salty water :-)I just bought a pijama for my beloved mom who was in Holland, accompanying my grandma after her surgery...
We felt that the shops weren't that interesting anymore (maybe coz our mind was with the sea hee) so we went back and played with the waves... I didnt try to surf coz it seems very heavy and difficult :-S After we tanned ourselves, we went wash ourselves to go to other beach -> TANJUNG BENOA to do some water sports :-)We did our flying fish there and once we're there, we thought over some activities like banana boat, jetski, water ski, wake board, etc and we decided to dive which wascancelled before... so we DID it!!! WITHOUT LICENSEE!!! (y could we??) coz we went with some instructors who swam for us, so he would carry 2 people under the waterthen asked us to hold onto some rocks... THUS...NO SWIMMING!!!
Some rocks made my skin itchy... I tried to signal the instructor about it using my hand language hehe...but then my body started to float since I let my hands off the rocks...Instead of understanding my hand signal, my instructor pulled me down again and PUT ME ON THE SAME SPOT!!! What theeee... those rocks touched my skin again and it reallyirritated me :-S Other than that bitter side of the story, I saw so many beautiful and colorful fishes under the sea...wow... I never thought that I could see those beautiful scenejust 10 mins away from the shore :-) I think it was worth it... u know, good experience is expensive :P
The sky was getting darker, that time was like 5.30 pm-ish so it was time for us to go back to the hotel... I could see my dad was getting tired too..poor him, he was justtaking care of our bags when we dived hehe he is a good daddy :-DSo we went home quickly, took shower and went out again to do a little shopping nearby...
I didn't buy that many since I wasn't that interested buying surfing type of clothes hhehe so we went home after dinner :-)Once we're home, it started to rain again...it was quite hard that nite...
You see! Just for this day, I could write this much comparing with the other days -__- heheh We need our SUN!!!! As long as it shines brightly, it WILL make our day!!!
- 29 Dec 07
I don't like this day, we had to wake up at around 5.30 AM then fly back to Jogjakarta :-SOur holiday in Bali has finished -___-To make things worse, we needed to drive back from Jogjakarta to Semarang... another 4 hrs trip!!! OH NO -__-!Well even it was raining almost everyday during our stay in Bali, I think I still enjoy it a lot hehehe :-) And now my skin is darker too :)
